Position Description:
The Development Manager is a key position to help sustain and advance ANGEL AID’s ambitious growth goals, primarily through corporate grant funding, individual and institutional fundraising, and donor relation programs. This strategic role will work closely with our CEO and Board of Directors to meet growth and development goals.
The Development Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of annual giving/corporate donors, stewarding current relationships, while building new individual and corporate relationships with potential supporters. This position supports overall efforts in growing the organization’s donor list with the planning and execution of: fundraising events, grants, corporate/individual proposals, annual appeals, and other giving.
Performance in this position is measured by successfully building and maintaining strong donor relationships and a high execution of fundraising strategies to meet designated initiatives and overall annual goals and benchmarks in accordance with the organization's overall fundraising plan, developed by CCS Fundraising.
We need a strong leader who can achieve our fundraising goals by managing a broad portfolio of corporate, institutional and individual donors.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Advance corporate and pharmaceutical sponsorship strategies and new relationships
Seek, submit, and track grant applications and maintain grants calendar
Prepare proposals, pitch programs, manage an opportunity pipeline
Research and identify new potential sponsors
Manage our online fundraising platform
Analyze giving data and trends
Secure annual fundraising event sponsorships
Additional areas as defined with, and by, the CEO
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Mission driven; business minded
Knowledge of fundraising fundamentals and continuous learner in fundraising best practices
Demonstrated success in securing individual gifts, corporate contracts or grants, and event sponsorships
Bachelors Degree with experience working with large corporations (pharmaceutical companies a bonus, but not required)
3+ years of professional fundraising experience
Flexibility - we are a small, mighty, and growing nonprofit where things move (and change) quickly
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
Not afraid to build new relationships to advance our organization's mission
Assist in prospect research
Create general and specific development-related correspondence
Attend staff meetings as necessary
Familiarity with Zoom, FUNraise (or similar online fundraising platform), Hootsuite (or similar pipeline management platform) and Google Suites is a plus
