Exploring the 6 Phase Meditation
At the beginning of the 21st century most people would have considered meditation as something only monks did… fortunately, this perspective has changed. Meditation is now something anyone and everyone can have access to. Making time for a small daily practice is something that benefits every being, no matter our backgrounds or the current goings-on in our lives.
With the numerous scientific studies showing the benefits available for the body and mind, as well as the personal experiences of people honing practices for all types of lifestyles, it no longer takes hours a day to cultivate a daily practice. Let me introduce to you the 6 Phase meditation. This is a special way of learning how to meditate that goes further than what most people know and makes it easy enough for anyone to feel comfortable with.
6 Phase Meditation is a special type of meditation that helps you reflect on your life and it’s done over six steps that, I encourage each of us to practice each day for a total of just 20 minutes. There are an immense amount of benefits in learning this method including having a better understanding of how to meditate, having increased feelings of gratitude, and experiencing more clarity and focus in your everyday life.
For those of us who have tried to meditate before and found our minds can’t stop wandering or we don’t know what exactly we are meant to be doing, this is a great way to finally learn. If you want to develop a daily meditation practice that doesn’t require a lot of hard work to master and you want to also reflect on your life so that you can make improvements and be grateful for what you have, a dedicated practice like 6 Phase Meditation can be for you.
The beauty of the 6 Phase Meditation is that it walks you through each phase, step by step, allowing you to move through Compassion, Gratitude, Forgiveness, Visualization, A Daily Intention and A Blessing. The first three focus on the present while the last three center around the future. These are six human needs and each are addressed specifically so that you may just find deep emotional, intellectual, and possibly even spiritual breakthroughs.
Most people who have regularly practiced the 6 phase meditation say they experience a sense of calm and wellness after just their first time moving through it. And after repeated regular practice, they have noticed that other areas of their lives improve… such as, how they are able to feel about themselves, how they deal with others and situations, the ability to calm themselves down quickly when stressed, as well as an overall feeling of wellbeing.
So I invite you to join us as we continue to breakdown and explore each piece of the 6 phase meditation. Moving through your inner stories, and relating to each of the steps as we go through them. Sharing with the other Caregivers adds another layer of self-understanding, as well as comfort in your heart. We are all in this together, supporting one another, even as we are in different phases and labels. Join us on Thursday mornings, 10 am PST. I hope to see you there!
Always by your side,
Pamela
